Lecht
Lecht is at 2090 ft above sea level amid the beauty of the Eastern Cairngorms at Strathdon. This natural playground offers exciting year-round activities. It is an ideal place for youngsters to learn. It has snow making equipment and is a designated snowboard fun park – there's snowtubing and deval karting.
The ticket office and ski and snowboard hire are close to the White Hare Cafe near the car parks. There is ski and snowboard school beside the nursery tows. You can also hire ski, snowboards and clothing. The shop provides all your forgotten items! There is a restaurant and snack bar. The atmosphere is relaxed so if you're a beginner it's a good place to start, not that there aren't some terrifying places like black Harrier, only for the experienced! There is 20km of pisted runs, longest being 900m.
Directions: Straddling the A939 on the Cockbridge to Tomintoul road, Lecht is easily reached from Speyside and Aviemore.
